Zachary Kamats

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, I’ve built my career from the ground up — literally.
My name is Zachary Kamats, also known throughout the construction industry as ConstructionDad. I’ve spent more than two decades working in the field, operating heavy equipment, managing crews, overseeing complex projects, and developing the knowledge and relationships necessary to deliver successful construction projects.
My experience spans residential, commercial, industrial, and heavy civil construction, with more than 12 years dedicated to field management, project coordination, and overseeing day-to-day construction operations.
I’ve operated everything from compact equipment to large-scale excavators and cranes, worked alongside skilled tradespeople across multiple disciplines, and developed a deep understanding of what it takes to complete projects safely, efficiently, and correctly.
Unlike contractors who have only managed projects from behind a desk, I’ve spent my career in the trenches, on the machines, and alongside the crews doing the work.
